New life for an old mill
We converted this Victorian mill, which had undergone several previous alterations, into a modern office environment that transformed how Ashfield Healthcare worked. They’d been used to private offices, but we collaborated very closely with them on the designs to show how an open plan layout could work for them.
As well as designing the interiors, we selected and supplied the furniture and fitted out the building. So that it could remain occupied, we refurbished the five floors one floor at a time and provided temporary services. We also refurbished the external windows and roof, which involved complex full-building scaffolding with access over a river.
